Replacement of blower diaphragms

1 
1. Unscrew the bolts on the bottom cover.
Remove the top cover.

2. Remove the service cable from the top cover.

3. Take down the L-hose from the exhaust branch of the blower head.Unscrew the cross bolts of the blower head. Remove the blower head.

4. Unscrew the nut M4 on the board of the diaphragm.
Remove the diaphragm with the board and with the diaphragm base from the anchor.

Unscrew the cover of the driving unit.

5.b. Blowers from LP-80HN to LP-200H
Check up the side areas of the anchor and of the electromagnets coils properly, whether they are not damaged. Warning: In the case of an anchor /a coil failure, it is necessary to send the blower back to its producer for repair.

6. Place and set a new diaphragm according to the shape contacts of the driving unit, the anchor and the diaphragm.

7. Put on the washer with the nut M4 and tighten it with the spanner 25 Ndm.

8.a Put on a new blower head and tighten the cross bolts with the spanner 25 Ndm.
Put on also the L-hose.

8.b Pay attention to placing of the anchor regularly between the electromagnets coils!
The anchor has to be set in a parallel way with the inner edge of the coils.
Loosen the cross bolts on the blower head and centre the anchor. 

9. Do the steps 3 – 8 also with the other blower head /side. 
 

11 
10. Switch over the protective switch of the diaphragms into the original inactive position.
Put on and screw the cover of the driving unit with the spanner 25 Ndm (LP-80HN – LP-200H).

11. Look at the steps 1 – 2.
Put on and fix the service cable back into the top cover.
Put on the top cover and screw the bolts with the spanner 40 Ndm.
 

Please, check up the blower functioning after carrying out of the steps 1 – 11. Start the blower and watch, whether you do not hear unknown and unusual sounds. If you can, measure the blower flow by the recommended working pressure.

Maintenance of sand filter float

1.a Take down the hose from the float nozzle carefully and remove the whole float from the hanger on the WWTP wall.

1.b If it is a WWTP with the float, placed on an auxiliary board, take out the whole board from the WWTP and remove the float carefully.

2. Take the float into single parts gradually, in order to find out the reason of a damage.

3. The bent or another way damaged spring or the leaky rubber ring on the embedded screw-bolt are the most frequently failure causes. If the failure is revealed, and if it is possible to get rid of this failure, then it is necessary to replace or to repair a fault part.

4. Set the float into the original condition and put it back into the hanger on the WWTP wall. Be mindful of the fact, that the plastic body of the float, which is the water level indicator in the sand filter, has to lead down to the water level. Put back the hose for air supply on the other end of the float, where the air nozzle is situated.

Temporary operations during WWTP maturing period (for the period of about 1 – 2 months)

1 
Remove the outlet of the excess sludge air-lift pump from the sludge tank into the accumulation tank (so that the outlet of the aif-lift pump would be higher, than the height of water level in the activation tank). After about 2 months of the WWTP operation, put the air-lift pump back.

2 
Take the outlet of the air-lift pump for settling tank filling from the stilling cylinder of the settling tank and put it into the activation tank. After about one month of the WWTP operation, put the outlet of the air-lift pump back into the stilling cylinder of the settling tank.

Cleaning of filter of coarse impurities

 1. Take out the hoses for air supply from the nozzles of raw water air-lift pump and of the air-lift pump for coarse filter aeration carefully. Remove the hoses in a parallel way with the axis of the nozzle – do not move with it side to side!

 2. Unfix the hose for raw water pumping from the hanger on the WWTP wall.

3. Take out the raw water air-lift pump from the filter of coarse impurities.

4. Remove the filter of coarse impurities from the hanger and take it out of the WWTP.

5. Clean the filter from settled impurities.

6. In the end, rinse the pipe with a stream of pure water.

Cleaning of air-lift pump for removing of impurities from sand filter

1. Remove the hose for air supply from the air-lift pump nozzles carefully.

2 
2. Take out the air-lift pump.

3 
3. Take out also the pipe, in which the air-lift pump was put in.

4 
4. Wash the pipe inside and outside with water properly.

5 
 5. Wash also the air-lift pump with water properly.

6 
 6. Finally, put the air-lift pump back into the pipe and give it back to the accumulation tank. 

Cleaning of raw water air-lift pump

1. Remove the hoses for air supply from the air-lift pump nozzles carefully. Take off the hoses in a parallel way with the axis of nozzles – do not move with them side to side!

2. Unfix the hose for raw water pumping from the hanger on the WWTP wall.

3. Take out the raw water air-lift pump from the filter of coarse impurities.

4. Put in the air-lift pump cleaner (the plastic stick for cleaning of air-lift pumps, which is fixed on the wall inside the WWTP)

5. Move with the plastic stick in the air-lift pump to make the pump straight-way.

6 
6. Rinse the air-lift pump with a stream of pure water.

7 
7. Put back the air-lift pump into the filter of coarse impurities and fix it into the hangers, so that the air-lift pump fit into the hanger exactly in the place between the two welded plastic rings. Finally, put on the air hoses onto the air-lift pump nozzles and, at the same time, fix the raw water hose into the hanger to direct this hose into the activation.

Rectification of SF by-pass into WWTP

Remove the red lid from the SF inflow pipe. This operation is carried out after the maturing period of WWTP (i.e. aprox. after 3 weeks of WWTP activity – water on outflow has to be pure).

Put on the red lid onto the SF inflow pipe. This operation is carried out in the case of the cracked SF.

Sludge removal from sludge tank

1. By the help of air-lift pump – partial sludging

1. Switch off the blower and let the sludge settle for about 20 min.

2. Put out the hose of the sludge tank air-lift pump from the blind flange and put it into the prepared container.

3. Put the WWTP into the flow phase. (Switch on the blower and take out the end piece of the controlling float so, that increased water level in accumulation is simulated).

4. Remove the sludge into the container, until the sludge runs out from the air-lift pump. The stabilized sludge is possible to compost or to use as a fertilizer.

2. By the help of sludge pump – full sludging

1. Let down the pump into the sludge tank and pump out the whole content of the tank.

2. After pumping out of the sludge tank, fill the tank approx. to the half with pure water.
